Warninglid Players latest production is a play called ‘Was She Coshed’.This will be performed at The Seaforth Hall from Wednesday, November 23rd until Saturday, November 26th inclusive. Wednesday to Friday curtain up at 8.00pm and Saturday at 4.00pm. (Yes you can still watch Strictly come Dancing!). Tickets are priced at £8.00 and are available from Elaine Forster on 461313, who is kindly manning the box office for us once again.
Rebecca Bond has written this play for us and those of you who are regular supporters will remember that she wrote last autumn’s production of ‘False Widows’, we were so pleased that she was awarded runner up in The National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) awards in the category ‘New Play’.
‘Was She Coshed’ is a very funny play set amidst the chaos and destruction of the blitz where The East Finchley Branch of the W.I. are doing their best to keep calm and carry on with their annual jam making jamboree, despite a mysterious death, scandals, intrigue and espionage and the ministrations of a very incompetent police constable. Please come along and enjoy the fun.
